JSerra HS – 26351 Junipero Serra Rd., San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675
The TEN Invitational was started in 2021 by Sound Running as a professional track meet highlighting the 10K event. Many national records, including the current American men’s and women’s 10K records, have been set at this meet. In 2024, local high school teams were invited to compete in separate sessions of the meet, and in 2025 the meet was opened as an invitational for high schoolers – offering the 800, 1600 and 3200 events.
The meet is well-known for using the wavelight technology, which are a set of 1-3 lights that run around the track used as an artificial rabbit to help pace athletes trying to hit a time. Each heat of the Ten will have a set of wavelights to help pace our athletes. All high school athletes with a bib and a wristband also are allowed free entry into the Evening session to watch the pros and elite high schoolers (including our own!) race.
Transportation: There is no bus transportation for this meet, all athletes must arrive at the meet on their own. Check in with your event coach to determine when you should arrive.
